Seven Seas Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mate and Chef couple to join a private expedition motor yacht on a permanent basis from November.
The yacht operates an extensive worldwide cruising programme, exploring remote and unique destinations throughout the year. This is an opportunity to join a small private vessel offering a mix of guest trips and quieter periods focused on maintenance, preparation and general operations.
The Mate will assist the Captain with navigation, deck operations, maintenance and tender handling. Strong practical engineering skills and confidence manoeuvring a large tow tender are essential, while a Yachtmaster qualification is preferred.
The Chef will be responsible for all galley operations, including menu planning, provisioning and preparing high-quality meals for the owners, guests and crew. Candidates should have a solid culinary background and be confident managing the galley independently.
Both candidates must have relevant experience in their respective roles and be comfortable working within a small crew, assisting across departments when required and spending extended periods away from major yachting hubs.
The positions offer competitive salaries depending on experience, four weeks of paid annual leave following probation, training opportunities, performance-related bonuses, and flights and required visas covered.

67ft Private Catamaran | UK Flag | Mediterranean & Caribbean | 2:2 Rotation
S/Y Manta is a 67ft private catamaran operating a dual-season programme, cruising the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter.
We are looking for a second crew team to join our established rotation, starting in early November 2026.
We are open to either a Captain and Deck/Stew couple, or a Captain and Deck/Stew who are not a couple. Both options are welcome. Most importantly, we are looking for two experienced, mature and positive people who work well together and are looking for a long-term position.
The rotation is 2 months on / 2 months off, joining an existing team and creating a genuine long-term 2:2 rotation. Flights are included.
For the Captain position, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Captain who enjoys the responsibility and lifestyle of working on a private yacht. You should hold a minimum Yachtmaster Ocean, along with STCW and ENG1. Good practical seamanship and yacht-handling skills are essential, and experience on catamarans of a similar size would be a strong advantage. Excellent spoken English, good organisational and leadership skills, and a professional, safety-conscious and proactive approach are important. The ideal candidate will be confident operating the yacht independently while also being a strong team player.
For the Deck/Stew position, this is a genuine 50/50 role for someone who enjoys both deck work and looking after guests and the interior. Previous yacht experience, STCW and ENG1 are required, along with Powerboat Level 2 or a similar tender-driving qualification. You should be comfortable with deck and tender handling, interior and guest service, and have some basic cooking experience. Excellent spoken English is required. Italian, French or Spanish would be a valuable bonus.
Manta is a private yacht with no charter, used exclusively by the owners, their family and guests. There are normally up to eight guests on board.
Life on board is relaxed and professional, with a strong focus on privacy, trust, teamwork and high standards of care. The programme offers the opportunity to enjoy two very different cruising seasons, with summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean.
Personality and team fit are just as important to us as qualifications and experience. We are looking for mature, reliable, positive, flexible and collaborative people who are comfortable living and working closely within a small team. You should be able to take responsibility for your role while also being happy to help wherever needed. A good attitude, common sense and positive energy are highly valued on board.

CAPTAIN / STEWARDESS-COOK COUPLES POSITION - US/NEW ENGLAND

We are looking for an experienced Captain and Stewardess/Cook team to join a 24m (80ft), 150-ton foreign-flagged private/charter expedition yacht. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
The yacht is currently based in New England for the summer and will head to Savannah, Georgia for a yard period in November, followed by Florida in December and then the Caribbean for the winter season, including the BVI, St. Kitts, St. Barts, St. Maarten, Antigua, and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on position with a heavy cruising schedule. Anchoring out is common, and the yacht operates with a three-person crew. The program includes offshore passages, remote cruising, anchoring, fishing and diving operations, and frequent tender operations. The yacht carries a 17ft tender, 11ft RIB, 10ft sailboat, kayaks, water toys, dive compressor, davits, and more, with occasional towing between anchorages.
The Captain must hold a Master 200 GT or higher and have proven offshore command experience, along with strong docking, anchoring, towing, and tender-handling skills. Hands-on mechanical knowledge is essential, and electrical and hydraulic experience is required. Fishing and diving experience would be a plus.
The Stewardess/Cook will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of interior care, preparing family-style meals, snacks, and drinks for overnight guests, hosting and entertaining larger events such as cocktail parties, preparing the yacht for crossings, and managing guest services including dinner reservations and provisioning. Tender driving experience is a plus but not required.
The owners are friendly and easygoing. The position offers competitive pay, health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits.

Mate + Deck/Stew – M/Y 112’ New Build – Private

We are currently seeking a Mate and Deck/Stew to join a brand-new 112’ private yacht. Couples are welcome to apply.
For the Mate position, we are looking for a licensed and confident professional with proven experience driving a 43’ tender/chase boat, which will travel with the yacht at times. The ideal candidate will be experienced across deck operations and comfortable taking responsibility for the deck department.
The Deck/Stew position will be approximately 80% interior and 20% deck, working closely alongside the Chief Stew. Strong housekeeping, laundry, and service skills are preferred, along with a flexible and hands-on approach.
The yacht is operated by a private family based in Fort Lauderdale / West Palm Beach, with a Caribbean season planned and potential for a Mediterranean season next summer.

Stew and Deckhand - M/Y 30+m - Med

A brand-new private motor yacht (35m+) is currently based in Med and is looking to fill two positions with an immediate start.
A Stewardess is required, offering a salary of €3,800 per month. Candidates should have a minimum of one to two full seasons' experience in a comparable interior role.
A Deckhand / Tender Driver is also required, with a salary of €4,000 per month. Applicants should have at least one to two full seasons' experience, with confident tender handling being essential. Duties include guest transfers, night runs, and supporting watersports activities.
Both positions include 3.75 days of paid leave for each month worked. This is a private yacht with no charter operations, and you will join a small, international crew.
